About the Role
Where you’ll make an impact
This role supports Ruah’s work across family and domestic violence (FDV), mental health and wellness, housing and homelessness, and Ruah Legal Services, helping communicate complex and sensitive social issues through ethical, visually engaging storytelling.

Working closely with the Marketing and Engagement Manager, the wider Marketing & Engagement team, and internal stakeholders, you’ll support campaigns, events, service promotion and advocacy — ensuring content is high‑quality, consistent and aligned with Ruah’s strategy and values.
This is a permanent, full‑time position, ideal for a creative professional operating at a Level 4 capability.
What you’ll bring
- Experience creating digital content across design, social, photography and/or video
- Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
- Experience managing or contributing to social media content calendars
- Strong visual storytelling skills with attention to quality and detail
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency
- Collaborative, organised and comfortable working to deadlines
- Commitment to ethical, culturally safe and dignifying storytelling
Nice to have
- Experience in a not‑for‑profit or community services environment
- Familiarity with basic motion graphics, analytics or CMS platforms
- Awareness of accessibility and inclusive design practices
