About the Role

As Team Lead, you will provide day-to-day leadership across a residential crisis service supporting women and children escaping family and domestic violence. You will guide staff practice, support safe and effective responses, and help maintain a strong focus on client outcomes.

  • Lead, supervise and support a team of Support Workers and Coordinators
  • Drive high-quality, trauma-informed, FDV-informed and client-centred service delivery
  • Oversee risk assessment, safety planning and client outcomes
  • Coach and develop staff to build confidence, capability and consistency
  • Respond to complex client needs, including AOD and mental health presentations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, reporting and stakeholder engagement

This role is being offered on a 12-month max term contract working full time hours, Monday to Friday.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience supporting women and children escaping FDV in a crisis or residential setting
  • Strong leadership skills, including staff supervision, coaching and support
  • Sound understanding of trauma-informed, FDV-informed and client-centred practice
  • Confidence with risk assessment, safety planning and complex presentations
  • Understanding of AOD and mental health impacts within FDV service delivery
  • Ability to stay calm, responsive and organised in a high-pressure environment

  • Salary aligned with Level 5 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), commencing from $101,099 + super
