About the Opportunity

Based in our North Sydney office, we are seeking an experienced Credit Controller – Team Leader to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, you will lead a team of four Credit Controllers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounts receivable outcomes.

You will act as the key escalation point for complex disputes and issues, while mentoring and supporting the AR Credit Control team in effective dispute resolution and best-practice debt management.

This role oversees a large and complex portfolio of over 3,400 active debtor accounts, valued at approximately $700m annually, across all Australian and New Zealand subsidiaries. You will be responsible for end-to-end debt management, including ownership of company-wide Credit Policy and Practice Notes, with a strong focus on minimising bad debt risk and overdue balances.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Approving new credit account applications within designated Delegation of Authority (DOA)
  • Overseeing daily cash receipting and allocation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Processing general journals as required
  • Producing monthly debtor reporting and analysis for management
  • Overseeing monthly invoicing activities
  • Managing accounts receivable audit requirements
  • Liaising with external collection agencies and internal legal teams on accounts requiring escalation, debt recovery, or legal action
  • Partnering with other oOh! teams to drive continuous process improvements that impact AR performance, debt risk, and cash flow
  • Ensuring all AR process documentation is maintained and regularly updated
  • Attending meetings with Sales leaders to review key account issues and gain insights into current sales activity
  • Undertaking other duties as assigned

About You

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable or credit control, ideally in a team leadership role
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex system, process, accounting, or campaign-related issues
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A proactive and continuous-improvement mindset
