About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Services Manager – Geology, based in Johannesburg, to lead our Technical Pre-Sales and Post-Sales team and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional geology software solutions to our clients across the region.

You will work closely with regional leadership to align presales activity with deal flow, ensure appropriate project resourcing and maintain technical excellence across the customer journey. This is a leadership role that blends people management, technical expertise, customer engagement and commercial acumen. This is your chance to:

• Lead a team of technical specialists
• Contribute to compelling, value-driven software demonstrations as part of the wider team, while bringing individual expertise and impact
• Collaborate on tender submissions and proof-of-concept projects, taking ownership of key components and adding individual value
• Oversee technical components of the solution-selling process
• Coordinate Level 2+ customer support
• Driving customer training and success initiatives

About You

To succeed in this role, you build relationships easily, inspire teams to deliver excellence and have a strong understanding of geology and mining software solutions. Other requirements are:

• Tertiary qualification in Geology, Earth Science or Engineering
• 5+ years’ operational experience on a mine site
• Proven success in technical pre-sales and converting opportunities to sales
• Excellent communication skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders
• Passion for emerging technologies and innovative service delivery
• Availability to travel within Africa, Middle East and Europe
