About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, Geology to support our commercial team across the APAC region. Based in Brisbane, this role sits at the intersection of geology, technology, and customer engagement, helping mining companies understand and realise the value of Micromine’s geological software solutions.

Working closely with our Business Development Managers, you will lead technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept models, and product evaluations, while also supporting customers through training, implementation, and ongoing technical engagement.

This is an ideal opportunity for a geologist with strong software expertise who enjoys working directly with clients and influencing technology adoption across the mining sector.

  • Support Business Development Managers in identifying and progressing opportunities within key mining accounts
  • Deliver high-quality technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept models, and software evaluations
  • Contribute technical expertise to proposals, tenders, and customer engagements
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and solution expansion within existing customers


About You

You will combine technical geological expertise with strong communication and customer engagement skills, enabling you to translate complex software capabilities into real value for mining customers.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in Earth Sciences, Geology, or Mining Engineering
  • Experience working with geological software solutions (databases, resource modelling, estimation etc.)
  • Operational mining experience
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver engaging technical demonstrations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
