An exciting career opportunity is now available for a Field Service Technician (HD Fitter/Mechanic) to join our Bunbury branch. This is a residential role based in the town of Bunbury WA and reports directly to the Bunbury Branch Manager. You would be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on mobile plant equipment and ensuring excellent customer service is provided.
The role is responsible for machine diagnostics as well as the testing and adjusting of machine operation and monitoring systems. Additionally, you would be coordinating site based equipment maintenance projects, in particular, coordinating job requirements, following work scope and critical path. The role also involves generating technical reports such as service reports, TSI & warranty claim processes.
The knowledge, skills and abilities we’re looking for:
Current MR classification driver’s license (minimum requirements).
Field service / Mine site breakdown/diagnostics experience is essential.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the design & function of Komatsu mining & civil equipment.
Experience on the following machines will be highly regarded; WA250 - WA1200, PC45 - PC270 & PC1200-PC3000, GD555 and GD655, D65 – D155, WD600, HD465-HD1500, HM400, 730e, 830e (AC and DC).
Air-con and Auto Electrical experience, qualifications and diagnostic skills will be highly regarded.
Ability to work overtime and travel away from home if required.
A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work unsupervised and in remote areas.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of computer systems.
