The Opportunity:

Komatsu are looking for an enthusiastic Field Service HV Electrician to join our team at the Gladstone Branch, at various mine sites.

Join our team in an exciting field-service role that offers the opportunity to work with our electric truck fleet. This versatile position covers a broad range of responsibilities and is open to both experienced professionals in the electric truck field and those looking to start their career in this exciting industry. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience working with leading OEM equipment, including Komatsu, CAT, Liebherr, and Hitachi. Whether you're a seasoned expert or a dedicated novice, we are committed to training the right person and providing them with the skills and knowledge to succeed. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting high-voltage electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of heavy machinery and equipment.

Roster: 7/7 day and night roster

Role Located: Various Mine Sites

What we are looking for:

• Possess a trade qualification as an Electrician with a specialization in high-voltage electrical systems.
• Have a demonstrable track record of successful work as an HV Electrician in the automotive or heavy equipment industry, with a focus on electric vehicles.
• Possess an in-depth understanding of high-voltage electrical systems and components in electric vehicles, including inverters, converters, motors, and high-voltage batteries.
• Stay current with the latest developments and technologies in electric vehicle HV systems.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety in all work activities.
• Be proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in high-voltage electrical systems.
• Capable of interpreting diagnostic data to identify and resolve problems effectively.
• Possess excellent problem-solving skills to quickly and accurately address complex electrical issues.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to provide clear and concise explanations of technical matters.
• Be able to work independently, managing tasks and responsibilities effectively without constant supervision.
• Collaborate well with a team when necessary, particularly in projects involving multiple technicians or complex system diagnostics.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring the quality and accuracy of electrical work.
• Commit to delivering high-quality workmanship in all electrical installations and repairs.
