The Opportunity
As a Graduate Accountant in our Southern highlands office, you’ll gain practical, hands‑on experience that lays the foundation for a successful accounting career. From day one, you’ll be supported to build confidence, develop core skills, and contribute meaningfully to client work.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner
- Assist in the preparation Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
- Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
- Be coached directly by an experienced Partner with an aim to manage a diverse portfolio of clients
- Help provide an exceptional service to our clients
- Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
- Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events
About you:
- Recently graduated or undertaking your final semester of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar
- Previous experience in a chartered accounting firm is highly desirable
- Experience with or eager to learn accounting software, such as MYOB AE, HowNow, Active Ledger, APS, Xero and Quickbooks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Committed to providing exceptional service and being a collaborative team member
- Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Willing to work full time or minimum 4 days per week
