The Opportunity
This is an ideal role to start during your Accounting degree.
As an Undergraduate Accountant, you’ll gain practical experience by supporting the team with core compliance work, office support, and day‑to‑day accounting tasks. You’ll start with strong foundations and be given the time, guidance, and mentoring needed to grow.
Position Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will grow over time and may include:
- Assisting with basic accounting and compliance tasks under supervision
- Supporting the preparation of Financial Statements and Tax Returns for individuals and small business clients
- Assisting with BAS, IAS and other lodgements
- Helping maintain client records, documentation, and filing
- Supporting the team with general office and administrative tasks
- Liaising with team members to ensure work is completed accurately and on time
- Learning practice systems, workflows, and professional standards
- Participating in training, team meetings, and firm events
This role is about learning by doing, with guidance every step of the way.
About You
- Currently studying a Bachelor or Master’s of Accounting, Commerce, or a related degree
- Keen to gain real‑world experience alongside your studies
- Available to work part‑time (up to 3 days per week)
- No prior accounting practice experience required - just a willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Friendly, reliable, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A positive, proactive attitude and genuine interest in accounting and taxation
