Here's an overview of our role:

As the Vocational Training Manager, you will be empowered to ensure the design and delivery of learning and training requirements of the Jemena Group and Market Strategic Plans. With an emphasis on the whole person, you will work closely with market leadership teams and operational managers, to drive and implement learning projects and initiatives as well as ensure the delivery of targeted solutions.  

Furthermore, you will be responsible for the performance of the teams who will develop, source, implement and assess learning interventions and solutions. This is an opportunity to collaborate closely with the HR Leadership team to ensure learning is managed and implemented in a consistent manner across all locations regions and markets.

  • determining the People Development strategy required to meet Jemena Group capability requirements and analyse, define and deliver learning needs of the organisation
  • cost effectively managing external vendors and contractors to deliver learning outcomes of a high standard along with improving processes and management of the SuccessFactors LMS
  • leading the Technical and Learning and Development training teams and manage stakeholders with senior leaders and HRBPs
  • measure and ensure the effectiveness, relevance and currency of learning programs and ensure all forms of compliance learning are satisfied and meet Jemena Group standards
  • own the delivery of all learning and development, and technical competency frameworks, including skills matrices and competencies, and, oversee the effective administration and deployment of learning systems and processes
  • delivery of the annual learning plan and / calendar and be in charge of enterprise compliance against industry and regulatory skills and qualification matrixes eg VESI and Gas Matrixes
  • liaising with external vendors and providers to ensure cost effective delivery of training / learning that meets Jemena Group requirements

All about you:

  • expertise in the VET system, including AQF and government assistance schemes, traineeships and apprenticeships
  • demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, design and solutions to improve people and organisational performance with an emphasis on capability development
  • significant business partnering experience -  building and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and industry networks
  • extensive experience in leading and managing a training team/L&D function in an operational/ safety critical environment
  • developing, implementing and managing effective capability solutions using project management skills and practices
  • knowledge of learning design and adult learning principles, behavioural models, leadership models and learning frameworks
  • knowledge of RTO’s, governance and management
  • learning delivery strategies including eLearning as well as face-to-face, and, business process improvement knowledge & experience
