About the Role 

We’re seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join our high-performing team supporting payroll operations across the SGSPAA group, including Jemena. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services across multiple entities and industrial agreements. 

You’ll be part of a supportive and flexible team that primarily works remotely, with optional access to our Melbourne office. The team is geographically spread across Queensland and Victoria, so collaboration happens virtually—with occasional in-person events. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • End-to-end payroll processing using PayGlobal across multiple EBAs and sites 
  • Accurate data entry, leave reconciliations, and employee separation payments 
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation, EBAs, and company policies 
  • Collaborating with internal teams (HR, IT, Tax, Procurement) and external providers 
  • Supporting continuous improvement and service excellence across payroll operations 

About you 

You’re a confident and detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’re not afraid to ask questions, dig into complex EBAs, and support your teammates when needed. You bring a strong sense of ownership and a collaborative mindset. 

To be successful, you’ll bring: 

  • Strong experience in payroll, ideally in large or complex environments
  • Must have PayGlobal experience, and, proven ability to manage multiple EBAs and interpret lengthy agreements 
  • High-level accuracy in data entry and payroll checking 
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
