About the program:
The Jemena Graduate Program is designed to broaden the skills, knowledge and competencies of graduates across multiple disciplines comprising of four six month rotations over two years.
As our Graduate Engineer - Gas Distribution, you will be exposed to engineering and technical services that support the safety, reliability, integrity and long term value of Jemena’s Gas Metering Asset Class. Our network distributes natural gas to 1.4 million residential business and industrial sites in Sydney, Newcastle, the Central Coast and Wollongong, as well to customers in more than 20 regional centres.
Under direction, you will be responsible for opportunity briefs, front end engineering design and project support, performance monitoring, operational engineering support, performance and non-conformance investigation and reporting asset integrity monitoring and asset class strategies.
As part of the program, you will have the opportunity to be involved in meaningful and challenging work that is aligned with Jemena’s corporate strategy and will allow you to make an impact professionally. You can expect to work in a dynamic environment where your ideas will be heard and your work will make a difference.
Your success will depend on how you apply your skills, your passion to learn and your ability to build strong working relationships. You will have plenty of support throughout the program and work with industry professionals.
You may be in your final year of study or have previously graduated and are looking to launch your career. You will be an Australian citizen or resident at the time of application and be available to commence the graduate program with a start date for February 2022 based in Melbourne.
With a degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Mechatronics Engineering, you will have strong academic results and will provide these as part of your application outlining which areas you have excelled in and also what you have enjoyed the most.
As a graduate, you will come with an inquisitive mindset where you will be supported by a tailored learning and development plan to assist in developing you as a leader to set you up for success.
