About Us

We focus on being fun, supportive, collaborative and forward thinking people at Jemena. Be part of a forward thinking culture with genuine people leaders that encourage your growth, continuous improvement and new ways of working.

Jemena is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘to hear, listen and think’. We operate more than $11.5 Billion worth of gas and electricity transportation assets. We empower our people to reach their potential. Prioritising our employees’ wellbeing, equal opportunities, along with empowering a fully diverse and fulfilled workforce is key.

Our people are our greatest asset so having various flexible working options, remote working, paid parental (primary & partner) leave and leave purchase plans amongst many other benefits, is a key foundation to our success. We also have an array of well-being options to support our people.

Jemena & Zinfra are certified as a Family Inclusive Workplace. We are also an endorse employer of Work180 – Jobs For Women. We are passionate about what we do, and we are proud of who we are.

Here's an overview of our role:

Due to ongoing business success, we have a requirement for a Senior Technical Analyst – SAP Technologies to join our team based in Melbourne. The primary purpose of the Senior Technical Analyst role is to provide capability within the Digital Operations Product Line to analyse, design, develop, support, enhance and continually improve our software solutions.

The Digital Operations Product Line within Jemena Digital runs and builds a variety of applications with a particular focus on Works and Asset Management and Field Operations across both Jemena and Zinfra. The applications are used by a large number of employees and contractors delivering services on physical assets. We aim to build fitting applications that support the user in their work.

SAP applications and associated technologies are the foundation of many of our applications, leveraging ABAP, UI5, Fiori and the offerings of the SAP Business Technology Platform. For this role, a strong competency in modern ABAP development, including the development of OData services, is required.

Your role will entail the following:

  • work collaboratively in a multi-role team focused on the discovery, design and delivery of valuable software outcomes
  • apply your knowledge of SAP technologies and where appropriate open source technologies in the conceptualising, design and development of applications
  • maintain, improve and develop ABAP based workflows, ABAP based transactions, reports and interfaces
  • present solution proposals to both end users and the team and incorporate suggestions for improvement
  • provide analysis and risk assessment for system issues and changes
  • deploy changes in accordance with the Jemena change processes and procedures

A little about you:

Whilst you have strong knowledge of the SAP technologies, particularly in modern ABAP development, you are also a curious person who has explored outside of the SAP ABAP ecosystem.

Your knowledge of the SAP logistics solutions, particularly Plant Maintenance and Project Systems will be gained over many years and will be highly relied on.

You showcase the confidence, capability and people skills to engage with end-users and discover and more deeply explore opportunities of value. Finally, you couple a 'can do' attitude with a positive, friendly demeanour. These traits will ensure success in this highly-visible role. In return for your skills, experience and attitude, we offer a competitive remuneration package and you join a leading Australian business.

Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging

Jemena is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘to hear, listen and think’. We understand the value of a diverse workforce, the ability to work from home, and have committed to creating real employment opportunities through our Reconciliation Action Plan. We look forward to receiving applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

When you join Jemena, you become part of our diverse, inclusive, flexible and passionate team. We are a team that celebrates International Women’s Day, NAIDOC Week, International Day of People with Disabilities and many other days that matter to our people. Come join us!

Recruitment Process:

As part of Jemena’s commitment to keeping our employees safe, it is a requirement for all employees to be vaccinated against Covid-19. During our recruitment process, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks including pre-employment medical, reference checks, national police check and provide evidence of your vaccination status. Notice to Third Parties: Jemena does not accept unsolicited resumes (or liability associated with fees or costs) from recruitment agencies, search firms or third parties.
