Overview of our role
This is a wonderful opportunity for a Senior Solutions Analyst with a background in data analytics to join our growing team.
As the Solutions Analyst, you will play a key role to support the successful delivery of projects related to building AI solutions and data products. You will be helping teams to secure funding to scale up initiatives, engage with stakeholders to articulate requirements for developers, work with end users to ensure that development meets expectations, measure value that has been delivered, as well as supporting leaders with strategic planning. The projects are enabled by our strategic data platform, which uses modern Databricks/AWS technology, as well as a suite of other analytics tools, such as PowerBI.
You will possess strong analytical skills and hold a track record of delivering outstanding results and meeting critical timeframes for a variety of different engagements, including senior leadership team. Experience in corporate & finance functions, or energy utilities industry is preferred.
- Collaborate with business partners, technology groups, and end user groups to elicit, analyse, prioritise, validate, document and communicate business requirements, by conducting interviews, workshops and surveys to gather these requirements.
- Contribute to writing user stories, including analysis of benefits of proposed solution to deliver ‘desired business outcome’ within associated initiative costs.
- Develop and maintain appropriately detailed business analysis artefacts and deliverables throughout the lifecycle of a project, ensuring they meet the agreed quality standards and fulfil the project reporting needs to support effective governance and audit requirements.
- Apply and adhere to the organisation’s methodologies, tools and standards.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and governance in reporting and analytics.
- Proficient in using various applications, including presentation, spreadsheet, and word processing applications to convey complex information in a simplified way
A little about you
- Strong SQL programming skills with experience in Databricks, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Proven experience as a Solutions Analyst or similar role, ideally in large corporate environments.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, Agile delivery, and translating requirements into user stories.
- Proficient in business analysis tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Qualifications / certifications & Skills
