About the role:
The Hiring Manager has stated this is a great opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to use their technical knowledge of zone substation protection and control assets to contribute to team deliverables as well as proven leadership skills to lead a group of Engineering specialist to achieve business outcomes.
Further to this the role will encompass:
- On-going secondary Distribution Engineering activities which includes assessment of zone substation protection and secondary network asset performance and condition for example – addressing aging infrastructure;
- Coordinating the asset replacement and maintenance programs and associated investment required to meet agreed performance levels;
- Engaging with e a wide range of stakeholders to coordinate and implement strategies, policies and standards as they relate to zone substation Distribution electricity assets.
Your responsibilities will include:
The core responsibility of this role is to take advantage of the opportunity to affect change on the ground and see your work come to light and work collaboratively to impart true capability uplift for the team. This will include arranging personal development and training for employees, including guidance and mentoring where necessary
Aside from being an Inspiring Team Leader we hope you can provide technical and operational support across Assets & Operations and wider business on business initiatives and Business cases in a collaborative manner
Specifically speaking, your technical duties shall encompass development and maintaining of Asset Class Strategies, specifications, and Life Cycle Management Plans that deliver the required levels of reliability and performance of Distribution electricity network assets.
It is a pre-requisite to have relevant Tertiary Education such as Electrical Engineering .
Prior experience in a similar position with an extensive work history with Secondary Electrical Assets coupled with an understanding of the future evolution of electricity network functions and advancements in technology will be advantageous.
The role will suit someone who has experience in a comparable industry and are perhaps seeking a position with greater breadth where you can educate, mentor and engage. The successful candidate will have “softer” skillset boasting an adaptable 'can do' attitude with a positive, friendly demeanour, strong decision making, a high level of adaptability coupled with a collaborative nature which shines through in your work.
