The Service Specialist III under general supervision, supervises, directs, and performs all phases of the rigging up and down of service line equipment on work locations both on and offshore.
- Pay Rate: Up to $42.00/hour, depending on experience.
- Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Responsibilities:
- Provides the planning necessary for the job including equipment set up, well site direction, and customer related support activities.
- Responsible for the activities relative to maintaining, setting up, testing, and operating equipment at the customer location and field camp.
- Mentors and trains lower level Service Operators and Operator Assistants in areas of expertise.
- Monitors instruments and performs necessary calculations to ensure quality of data at the well.
- Consults with customers concerning services and products, promotes good customer relations at the well site, and ensures customer satisfaction with results.
- Properly maintains equipment and completes all job documentation.
- Conducts pre-job toolbox safety meetings, reviews and verifies job plan with customer representative, and manages any changes required.
- Must be able to review information received from Business Development to confirm best practices are followed and that proposed job plans meet customer's expectations in the most efficient manner.
- Must be able to communicate with other PSLs and third parties to ensure tool and well site activity compatibility.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 9+ years experience in oil field drilling activities including 5+ years of underblanaced drilling and/or managed pressure drilling.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills are required.
- Good mathematical acumen is required.
- Good reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Must have met the minimum competency requirements for Service Specialist III-GBA.
