Shop Assistant (Onsite: Lafayette, LA)

The Shop Assistant working under direct supervision provides labor and semiskilled support to service supervisors, operators, specialists, mechanics, or repairers in the operation and maintenance of equipment and tools.

• Pay Rate: Up to $23.00/hour, depending on experience
• Assignment Length: 2-year contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
• Shift Details: 9-hours | Five days a week

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of equipment and tools.
• Drive hot-shot equipment as required.
• Start and monitor designated equipment.
• Perform routine rig-up or clean-up labor at the well site or at the warehouse/service center.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record for the operation of company vehicles.
• Proven experience or the ability to be certified in operating heavy machinery, specifically a forklift.
• Parts knowledge is a plus, including the ability to identify, source, and verify correct components for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance tasks
• Proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to navigate inventory software, log maintenance data, and manage digital communications.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared operational goals.
