Job Overview

Our client is seeking an Expeditor to support their supply chain function by managing and tracking deliverables for various items. This role requires proactive management to ensure timely readiness and delivery, alongside fostering strong stakeholder relationships across multiple teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expedite assigned items using stakeholder meetings, systems, templates, and processes to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including vendors and key client groups.
  • Coach and mentor new hires, project team personnel, and vendors on the expediting process.
  • Manage equipment/material logistics to ensure on-time delivery aligning with project schedules.
  • Oversee vendor equipment/material documentation to ensure prompt review and approval.
  • Regularly review vendor schedules and data to mitigate delays, notifying stakeholders of potential issues and working towards resolution.
  • Schedule and manage vendor supply meetings and attend project meetings as required.
  • Report on equipment/material status using required reporting formats.
  • Assist in reviewing invoices for accuracy and investigate shipment issues.
  • Communicate potential commercial and technical issues to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics for delivery and readiness of off-loading at construction sites.
  • Maintain updated electronic records for timely completion of PO/Contract closeouts.
  • Consult regularly with the team lead or manager on project matters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in expediting best practices, logistics, purchasing, and project documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to multitask, manage timelines, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of engineering and vendor documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows/Outlook and Office Suite; knowledge of SharePoint, Oracle Cloud, and Salesforce is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
