The surgical services program delivers the majority of surgical services across all Alfred Health sites.The program consists of surgical units, anaesthesia and perioperative medicine, operating suite service, two elective surgical inpatient wards, a medical day unit, day of surgery admissions, day surgery and endoscopy service. The program also oversees the elective surgery waiting list, medical elective waiting list and outpatient service which averages over 200,000 attendances per year.
The Quality and Clinical Risk Manager supports the Nurse Manager, Operating Suite in developing staff to manage clinical risk and implement systems and processes to improve the quality and outcomes of patient care delivery in CSS. This role will work with the OSS Nurse Manager in relation to quality, risk management, education and accreditation activities and requirements. The Quality & Clinical Risk Manager will also be responsible for operationalising the core values of Nursing at Alfred Health by ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
Degree in healthcare / business management or working towards same.
Recent extensive clinical nursing experience in relevant health service.
