The Department

The engineering & facilities department are responsible for the maintenance of buildings, infrastructure and plant, facilities compliance and some minor capital works

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly organised and analytical Maintenance Planner to join the Engineering & Facilities team within Alfred Care Group.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Engineering & Facilities, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordination and optimisation of maintenance activities across engineering and facility assets. The role plays a critical part in ensuring preventative, corrective and statutory maintenance programs are delivered efficiently, safely and in compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.

Working closely with Facilities Coordinators, trades staff, contractors and operational stakeholders, you will develop maintenance plans and schedules, manage work order backlogs, coordinate shutdowns and maintain accurate asset information within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

This position may be based at one of Alfred Care Group’s facilities and will be required to work across multiple sites as required.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have strong planning and coordination skills, excellent attention to detail and a passion for improving asset performance and operational efficiency within a complex environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, Facilities Management, Building Services, Trade or a related discipline.
  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong organisational and scheduling capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of maintenance compliance and statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Australian drivers licence\
