The Department
The Engineering & Facilities Department are responsible for the maintenance of buildings, infrastructure and plant, facilities compliance and some minor capital works
The Team & Role
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Facilities and engineering, the primary purpose of the Facilities Coordinator is to oversee the day to day operations and maintenance activities for building and engineering functions across all Alfred Care Group sites. The Facilities Coordinator provides leadership support to the Facilities Manager in ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards in the healthcare sector, including health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to manage small-scale projects, prepare capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans based on asset condition and life cycle, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Previous experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), including implementation and maintenance
- Background in facilities management, particularly within the healthcare sector
- Additional technical certifications or qualifications in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or medical gas systems.
