The role

The Commercial Analyst is responsible for collating and interpreting commercial, sales and financial data to assist in driving the performance of the business. This position plays a key role affecting positive business outcomes through their ability to turn data into actionable information. This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact in the commercial team, work in a large multinational organisation with career development and growth, and hybrid working arrangements available.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the business through evaluation of targeted pricing opportunities, increase reviews and approvals.
  • Collecting, analysing, and reporting information to the Commercial department and other key stakeholders. 
  • Driving improvements to top-line performance through their analysis, presentations, and recommendations. 
  • Building and enhancing both standardised and custom reports, analysis of product and sales activity and will work with the commercial teams to provide support. 
  • Assist with the effort to develop standardised tools, methodologies, and business processes to increase efficiency. 
  • Contribute to the development of long-range strategies, annual plans, budgets, and capital expenditure proposals.
  • Building and enhancing commercial reporting.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience with: Power BI, SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft suite.
  • Tertiary education in finance and/or commercial discipline. 
  • CA, finance analytics, and strategic analysis experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience with pricing and contract analysis.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
  • Capable of building strategic working relationships.
  • Price and margin optimisation focus.
  • Experience in analysing commercial data and driving business change.
