We are seeking a commercially focused Legal Counsel to join our team during this exciting phase of growth. This rare and rewarding opportunity will see you play a pivotal role within the Concrete Aggregate and Masonry (CAM) Division, providing legal guidance and strategic support to teams across Australia.

In this role, you'll focus on these key areas:

  • Deliver expert legal advice and risk management support across a broad range of commercial matters
  • Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial contracts and agreements
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support business strategy while ensuring legal compliance
  • Drive legal innovation by streamlining processes, limiting risks, and proactively resolving issues
  • Support dispute resolution and litigation management when required
  • Contribute to governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with internal clients to enhance ease of doing business

What you will need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strategic mindset, practical legal skills, and a strong commercial acumen.

You will also possess:

  • Minimum 3+ years post-admission experience, ideally from a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team
  • Experience in general commercial law; exposure to construction materials, infrastructure or heavy manufacturing will be highly regarded
  • Proven ability to deliver practical and innovative legal solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Passion for continuous improvement and legal innovation
  • Australian Legal Practising Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one)
