The Role

Are you a strategic leader ready to make a real impact? Adbri is seeking a State Manager Health and Safety to drive the development and execution of high-impact WHS projects aligned with our national Health and Safety Strategy.

This newly defined role reports directly to the Executive General Manager of Health & Safety and plays a key part in shaping a positive safety culture across our operations. You’ll collaborate with site teams, project leads, and senior leaders to embed safety into every layer of the business.

This is not a back-office corporate role. You’ll be hands-on, visible, and influential, leading a team of safety professionals and working across diverse environments to deliver meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operational teams to deliver WHS services and achieve safety goals.
  • Lead critical risk verification audits and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Develop and monitor WHS management plans; provide training and support.
  • Champion our “Work Safe, Home Safe” culture across all levels of the business.
  • Provide safety leadership and coach teams on incident management and response.
  • Lead investigations and ensure thorough documentation and reporting.
  • Mentor and develop your team of health and safety professionals.

What You’ll Bring

  • A recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Health and Safety Auditor certification.
  • ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training.
  • Minimum 5 years of H&S experience in a similar industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a team.
