We are recruiting for an Occupational Safety & Health Administrator.

You will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative assistance to support the regional office with procurement, sentinel records administration, meeting coordination, OSH and training support, vaccination program, and customer service.

A large component of this role includes safety records management, vaccination program administration and meeting coordination so experience in these areas would be well regarded.

This is an interesting, and diverse opportunity that requires an individual who has very good communication skills and attention to detail.

 

While this is an administrative role, you will find it a rewarding one as you will also be an integral part of the Northwest Region WHS Team, helping the region achieve its safety and wellbeing requirements and initiatives.

The fundamentals of this role are:

  • Supporting the OSH Team Leader and OSH Coordinator
  • Supporting the region in the management of hazard and incident data
  • Assist with health and wellbeing vaccination and psychosocial hazards programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with the coordination of the Regional OSH Committee and the Emergency Planning Committee.

$90,119 + Super. This is full-time salary. Pro-rata applicable depending on your FTE.

Remote location allowance.

Be compensated with travel allowances if travel is required.

Air-conditioning subsidy.

Annual leave loading of 17.5%.

We offer annual leave travel concessions. This is where you are entitled to claim additional annual leave travel days to compensate for additional travel time associated when travelling to holiday destinations from the Northwest Region.

Residing above the 26th Parallel, you will be entitled to an additional 38-hour annual leave per year in addition to the standard entitlement. That’s 5 weeks’ worth of annual leave per year!

 

A little bit about you.

A high level of customer focussed service is fundamental. You will be able to work autonomously, as well as work closely with your team. Good organisational and time management skills are a must, as well as communication skills as you will be required to interact extensively with the Operations Group.

You have exceptional organisational skills, is flexible and adaptable. You are an ambitious person whereby you are willing to take on accountabilities, are not afraid to ask questions, and truly demonstrate our taking personal ownership value.

 

Key skills and experience:

  • Experience with Sentinel or any OSH management software desirable.
  • Valid WA ‘C’ class driver’s license – as you will be required to travel within the region.
  • Record management skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
