About the role: 

It is known that there is a close link between a student’s wellbeing, attendance, and academic progress. You will be instrumental in collaborating with students and other stakeholders to track student progress effectively.

Your role will involve offering timely, tailored interventions and pinpointing areas for enhancement, enabling students to implement necessary changes for their success. Ultimately, the Learner Success Coordinator is to act in the best interest of the student, which, in turn, will act in the best interest of UP’s relationship with the relevant universities. 

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Auckland CBD campus.

Please note: we can only consider candidates that hold existing unrestricted work rights in New Zealand and are based in Auckland.

Key responsibilities will include the following: 

  • Ensure up-to-date familiarity with external regulatory requirements such as those of the Code of Practice, NZQA, TEC, MOE, and INZ, as well as internal policies and processes. Incorporate any updates into daily operations and effectively communicate them to peer teams to ensure compliance requirements are consistently fulfilled. 
  • Have a thorough and holistic understanding of the concerned learner’s situation (well-being, attendance, academic, other). 
  • Ensure that the action plans agreed upon to improve learner performance are executed in compliance with internal policies and procedures 
  • Ensure that attendance monitoring and follow-up procedures are carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.  


About you:  

  • At least three years of experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated understanding of immigration, NZQA, TEC, MOE, and Public Trust regulations related to international students.  
  • Proficiency working with a CRM or any other SMS  
  • Hold a Diploma, Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent 
  • Experience in student support, counseling, or educational administration.  
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, as appropriate.  
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under minimal supervision.  
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a team.  
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
