The opportunity

As Project Administrator you will assist and take control of day-to-day administrative tasks to allow the team to focus on the aspects of project management in fibre-optic infrastructure projects. Working in the Fibre Operations and Access Networks team, this function focuses on the project management in fibre-optic infrastructure projects. Graduates are strongly encouraged to apply, as this is an entry level role. Based in Richmond, Melbourne and this will be a 6-9 month contract, reporting to Fibre PMO Team Leader.


  • Develop strong and effective relationships with the Manager – Special Projects and Marketing Officer and staff as well as TPG internal Customers and other departments.
  • Set the tone in the office through a high standard of efficiency in handling tasks, dealing with people and creating a general professional atmosphere.
  • Handling day to day tasks that are in support of the Manager, including mail handling, preparing reports, agendas and process requests
  • General administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the office, including document management.
  • Managing and maintaining filing system for Special Projects team.
  • Liaise with external and internal staff or customers with regard to scheduling meetings.
  • Organise meeting rooms, coordinating resources such as audio and video conferencing and other equipment as required, “meeting and greeting” guests, organizing refreshments (water), etc. 

Knowledge and experience

  • Minimum two years’ administration assistance experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications preferred.
  • Experience working in a telecommunications environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry legislation.
