This opportunity

The People Experience Consultant is responsible for providing guidance, support, advice and coaching to all people within the assigned client group in relation to all a People Experience related matters. This role will predominately cover advisory and operational support to managers, as well as projects aligned to the broader People Experience and functional objectives and people strategies. 


Performance Management:

  • Assist the People Experience Managers in the coordination of the performance management process, attending formal counselling meetings as required and ensuring the appropriate documentation is completed in a timely and legally compliant manner.
  • Coach, mentor and ultimately be decision maker (where needed) for leaders on any ongoing poor performance or conduct in business areas.
  • Provide advice to leaders and their employees on best practice People Experience processes and company policy.
  • Address ad hoc queries escalated by leaders and employees.

Operational Support:

  • Assist the Head of People Experience to deliver a broad range of PE operational activities which are aligned to the broader People Experience and functional objectives and people strategies. This includes but is not limited to; remuneration reviews; enabling performance and people surveys.
  • Work closely with specialist functions within People Experience (e.g. training, leadership development) to support business objectives.
  •  Work with the Head of People Experience to develop and implement people strategies that support high performance and engagement within the Consumer function. 
  •  Effectively manage tasks, ongoing projects and urgent people needs for Consumer teams without the need for intervention until appropriate escalation level to the Head of People Experience.
  •  Develop a close working relationship with the Consumer and Retail management teams and the People Experience team to gain a commercial understanding of business strategies and people requirements and support their effective implementation.
  •  Drive the employee experience and ensure leaders are accountable for the employee experience and the engagement of their people. 

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in performance management, coaching, and employee development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
