Your opportunity:

In this role, your prime accountability is to be the “System Technical Owner” of an agreed nominated set of systems within the Network Services Domain. You will manage the nominated platforms / systems in relation to lifecycle, capacity, performance, and risk management.

You will enable and support Architecture and Delivery teams in the planning, design, and execution of relevant solutions & business project outcomes. You will ensure a close working relationship with the other engineering domains, the broader Technology organisation, and the relevant vendors.

You'll make impact by:

As System Technical Owner of nominated systems – Fortigate SD-WAN solution suite (FortiGate VM02v Appliance, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiPortal & FortiWeb), you will ensure the system management, design, implementation, reporting and planning requirements are achieved and more specifically:

• SD-WAN solution suite design and implementation (including governance) of OSS and Security related integrations such as (but not limited to) PM, FM, CM, Security, Log Management, User Management
• Lifecyle currency & roadmap planning
• Capacity planning relevant to system BVM demands
• Performance analysis & optimisation facilitated by engineering & operations
• Support operations team as required in the event of critical network incidents and system outages
• Risk and Tech Security management and treatment plans
• Provide regular management reporting on platform / systems per the agreed domain reporting profiles
• Contribute to the OPEX and Capex budget management of the nominated systems
• Engage with relevant vendors including the managed services vendors to ensure acceptable capacity lifecycle and performance management of systems and network interfaces

What you’ll bring:

• Extensive direct experience on Fortigate SD-WAN solution ecosystem and specifically FortiGate VM02v Appliance, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiPortal & FortiWeb systems and with the focus on customer-focused design and implementation, system management, reporting and planning responsibilities.
• Strong in the evolving area of technology security (ie. security best practice, vulnerability management and mitigations)
• Able to take part and contribute to high pressure situations such as network incidents and investigations and support the operations team
• Strong internal customer and external vendor engagement experience and highly effective in driving quality outcomes for our customers.

Ideally, you will also have:

• 5 years minimum experience in SDWAN ecosystem, Fortinet experience is preferred, either in a Vendor or Operator environment.
• Dynamic customer focused attitude, always keeping to commitments
