This opportunity
This role is responsible for the successful delivery of cyber security projects based on business demand and for the definition and delivery of the required results within the agreed risk profile covering all areas of the business. This position will report to the Program Manager Security Technology and will use the Program/Project Management disciplines and processes defined by the TPG Telecom PMO.
Responsibilities
Identify the key stakeholders inside and outside the project required to define and deliver the project
Establish the project structure to engage all required stakeholders for all phases. Maintain engagement of the stakeholders through the Project lifecycle including Vendors, Work packages and suppliers
Create clear and attainable project objectives
Manage the key constraints for the project including all aspects of cost, time, quality and scope
Working with the PMO, establish the framework to manage project scope, schedule, quality and cost. This must comply with the TPG Telecom project management policies and processes
Ensure ongoing operational processes are in place for achieving and tracking ongoing benefits following the project transition to operations
Apply risk management processes to the project to manage the risk profile. Develop and maintain contingency plans where required
Manage all supplier interfaces associated with the project
Develop a resource profile to ensure the right people, facilities and tools are available when required to deliver the project. Highlight critical resources and develop plans to mitigate any associated risk
Develop a project schedule that covers all areas of the business required to achieve the project results, including dependencies on which the project relies to deliver successfully. Management of project inter-dependencies is a key responsibility of this role
Working with the financial teams, develop the cost management system for the project. Ensure this system is adhered to by all people working on the project
Provide reports showing the status of the project against agreed plans, with analysis of deviations and assessment of risks to future deliverables, in accordance with PMO processes and timescales
Establish and maintain a successful delivery culture within the project
Manage one or many work packages associated with the project, as required.
Knowledge and experience
At least 3 years’ experience of managing projects, preferably >$5m and in the cyber security environment
Demonstrate a good understanding of project management delivery methodologies, tools & processes, particularly PMBoK
Experience of working within a larger Project or Program in cyber security areaf is desirable.
Good leadership and communication skills are essential
Ability to deliver Projects to Time, Cost & Quality to be evident
Has successfully led Medium Risk Projects, preferably in Telco industry
Ability to work with senior stakeholders within a team and manage multiple Work Packages
Good collaborative management style that drives a customer focus with great employee engagement
Excellent capability to manage own and teams’ deliverables.
