TBWA Melbourne are looking for an Account Director who is able to join us for 6 months.
An Account Director is responsible for ensuring that the agency is meeting the client’s needs and working with all the key functions that go into creating the agency’s output. This involves constantly solving problems, managing internal and external expectations and communications, financial project management and driving projects to completion.

The Business Director is responsible for:
- The development and execution of Client's local brand and communications strategy – inclusive of internal and external rollout and ongoing management.
- The development and execution of all local and global sponsorship properties and leverage plans – inclusive of the internal and rights holder sign off process through to implementation.
- A key aspect of this role is contract negotiation and execution.
- Successful management of the Brand, Model Line and Sponsorship marketing budgets (media and production)
- Driving experiential marketing strategy – inclusive of annual review process and property evaluation.
- Design the brief, develop and execute brand, model line and sponsorship activities across all media and activation channels.
- Project management & ownership of the sponsorship strategy, development and execution of the brand strategy.
- Management of he Brand, Model Line and Sponsorship budgets.
- Leadership of the Brand, Sponsorship & Model Line Marketing Team (4 direct reports)
- Responsibility for the leadership and management of the Brand, Sponsorship and Model Line Comms team (4 direct reports)
- Development and execution of the brand, sponsorship and model line communications strategy in collaboration with agency partners.
- Coordination and briefing of internal teams, agencies and rights holders in the areas of communication development, media planning and activation management.
- Ensure strong stakeholder engagement at all times while communicating programs across the organisation – includes presenting to and influencing of Management Operating Committee.
- Support the General Manager in the preparation of delivery of content at key meetings.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO TBWA
Skills
- 2years’ experience in a similar agency role delivering on day-to-day client management
- Have a clear understanding of marketing communications and agency processes
- Ability to work and manage multiple projects autonomously (and collaboratively) from brief to completion
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional organisation and ability to think critically to troubleshoot in advance
- University education is highly desired but not mandatory
Knowledge
- Deep understanding of client’s business and competitors
- Integrated, or a digital native with a clear understanding of marcomms across all brands
- Strong experience managing financial processes
- Experience creating master timing plans, cost estimates and controlling production process’ financially to improve cost efficiencies and profitability
- Ability to deliver high standards of client satisfaction, measured through feedback
