TBWA Melbourne is seeking a talented and innovative Strategy Director. Someone who loves ideas and loves to bring them into all kinds of spaces and places.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who has a solid foundation in brand strategy, with a proven track record of thinking beyond ads, at home in culture, tech, innovation. This is a pivotal role to shape the future of our agency and our clients' brands.

THE TASK AT HAND

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy Development: Develop disruptive brand and campaign strategy for business growth and with cultural impact.
  • Non-Traditional Ideas: Lead the way in helping teams across the agency to foster ideas which live beyond the traditional media buys and channels.
  • Connections Strategy Expertise: Instead of traditional comms plan box ticking, imagining together with creatives the many spaces and places the idea could go.
  • Creative Partnership: Build strong relationships with creative teams, be their trusted advisor and go-to person.
  • Effectiveness: Implement and measure impact against effectiveness frameworks and client objectives.
  • Cultural Insights: Stay ahead of cultural trends and consumer behaviour, identifying opportunities to create culturally relevant and motivating campaigns.
  • Client Partnerships: Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and sparring partner.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to industry discussions and publications, positioning TBWA as a leader in innovation and creativity.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO TBWA

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop interesting, unexpected, yet actionable strategies.
  • Creative Collaboration: A gun in collaborating with creative teams to develop innovative and disruptive campaigns.
  • Connections Strategy: Solid understanding of comms and connections strategy.
  • Cultural Fluency: Keen awareness of tech and cultural trends and their impact on consumer behaviour.
  • Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Problem Solving: A creative and analytical approach to problem solving. 

YOU

  • A nice person with a love for great ideas
  • 7+ years experience in strategy role, including within creative agency
  • Experience managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to distil information into compelling and engaging presentations
