About the Role

Take charge of the Distribution Centre (DC) Operations team and drive them toward delivering outstanding customer service!

Due to an internal movement, we are looking for a DC Operations Manager to lead our PM shift Operations (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM) in Brendale. This role isn't just about maintaining a safe work environment—it’s about leading with impact, ensuring every policy, process, budget, and KPI is met with excellence.

Reporting to the DC Manager, you will inspire a highly engaged, service-oriented team while spearheading innovative improvement strategies that align with SRG’s commitment to Operational Excellence.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supporting the DC Manager in leading and developing the capability of the DC Team to consistently deliver on internal and external customer expectations.
  • Assuming accountability for the execution of the "Day of Operations" work and labour plan, maintaining a high standard of clear and concise communication with internal and external key stakeholders.
  • In conjunction with the SRG HR team, taking the lead in DC performance management processes, ensuring all legislative and internal standards are adhered to.
  • Being accountable for the DC "Day of Operations" labour budget and clearly articulating the drivers of variance to the plan

About you

We're looking for a passionate and experienced DC Operations Manager to join our team, lead the way in our fast-paced environment, and prioritize the safety of our people.

In addition, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a DC Operations Manager working in a Retail or 3PL distribution environment and leading an operational team
  • Previous Inventory experience
  • Understanding of labour models and associated costs
  • WMS operating knowledge (Korber preferred) and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated understanding of hazard identification, incident management and investigation
  • Understanding of CoR (Chain of Responsibility) – Current legislation
  • Exposure to a Manufacturing Excellence, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma (Statistical Process Control) environment
  • Demonstrated operational decision-making ability
  • Tertiary qualification or Certificate in business, supply chain or related discipline
