The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven, passionate, emerging Infrastructure Systems Administrator with a minimum of 4- 5 years' experience under their belt and ready to take on new challenges to grow in skills and professional development in a team full of experienced and talented specialists. This role will see you support all corporate infrastructure services, within public and private cloud across the business. In addition to this your remit will include:
- Provide day-to-day operational support in accordance with agreed service levels and standard operating procedure.
- Provide technical training to Service Desk team as required.
- Ensure site availability / reliability (Azure and Private Cloud using VMware vCloud Director)
- Build and configure all corporate hardware including desktops (MECM/Intune), servers and associated peripherals.
- Work with third party vendors including Managed Service Providers as required
- Proactively monitor performance and capacity of supported system and recommend technological improvements.
- Participate in project deliveries, support, governance as well as cyber security implementation.
- Adhere to best practice, change control and maintain high standard of workmanship and thorough documentation.
The Experience:
You will be technically competent with various IT Infrastructure services and possess the following skills and experience:
Essential:
- Advanced skills in various IT infrastructure disciplines, including but not limited to Microsoft 365 and Windows Servers (AD, Entra ID, DNS, Hybrid Exchange, SharePoint, DFS, Teams, OneDrive) are essential.
- Experience managing and administering MECM is compulsory however, skills and experience with Intune (including Autopilot and MDM for Mobile devices and Windows devices) will be highly desirable.
- Experience managing infrastructure within a private and public cloud environment predominantly in Azure and supporting security solutions (Defender, Mimecast, SSO with Okta and Entra ID)
Highly desirable:
- Experience in managing Purview and administering DLP within Microsoft ecosystem is highly desirable.
- Experience with VMware administration, storage solutions and backup administration (Veeam).
- Good scripting ability, mainly with PowerShell to automate mundane and repetitive tasks or to improve processes.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, enjoying the challenge of reverse engineering solutions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, following established procedure and efficiently. Communicate plan and changes properly and produce good documentable.
