Title: User Experience Designer

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 12 month contract

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Developing visually compelling designs that align with brand identity and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Ensuring alignment between design and business goals by working closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
  • Creating aesthetically pleasing interfaces with attention to detail, typography, and color.
  • Collaborating on an iterative design process that values continuous improvement.
  • Advocating for and implementing accessibility best practices to ensure inclusive design that accommodates users with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Designing for enterprise-facing applications, enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and preferences of our target audience.
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights to inform the design process.
  • Create wireframes and interactive prototypes using Figma to visualize and iterate on design concepts.
  • Develop information architecture, personas, and journey maps to guide design decisions.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of design solutions.
  • Use feedback to refine designs and improve the overall user experience.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 or 9 years of directly relevant work experience.
  • A portfolio with screenshots and documentation of problems and the methodologies used to solve them (required).
  • Expertise in user research, information architecture, personas, and journey mapping.
  • Proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  • Experience with enterprise-facing design (preferred).
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for typography and color.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and an iterative design process.
  • Knowledge and advocacy of accessibility best practices to ensure inclusive design.
