Title: Strategic Intelligence Research Lead

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 3 months contract

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world's best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

The Nike Intelligence Center (NIC) seeks an ambitious and curious professional to support the research and production of strategic intelligence products. As the Strategic Intelligence Research Lead, you will have the opportunity to leverage your exceptional communications and critical thinking skills, strong understanding of sports and global affairs, and passion for the Nike brand to drive insights for Nike, Inc. stakeholders.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Research Lead, you will bring your broad set of knowledge to research and report on sports and global affairs with a focus on their potential impacts to Nike, Inc. You will help produce the daily Nike World Brief report on global issues through a Nike lens. Ongoing and ad hoc strategic intelligence reports may be deep and forward-looking or concise and in direct response to a specific inquiry from a stakeholder. You will ensure all of this work is done in close collaboration with other members of the NIC and relevant stakeholders in various corners of the company.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

The NIC provides intelligence that advances Nike’s understanding of the world and is comprised of professionals with a broad spectrum of experiences. The NIC is part of the Resilience organization and the OGC which powers and protects Nike. We cut through the noise and the spin to determine what is affecting Nike, and highlighting where we need to focus our attention during turbulent times.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, communications, journalism, political science, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • An advanced degree in international affairs, business administration, journalism, law, or a related discipline is preferred.
