Duration: 8 months contract

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world's best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will join the Field Sports footwear design team with a primary focus on cleated footwear across cricket, football, and baseball. Your work will span the full product creation lifecycle, from early concept through retail — supporting both account and consumer needs.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Ideation & Visioning: Generate fresh thinking around performance-based products that drive growth and competitive advantage. Collaborate with product creation teams to develop new product concepts across Nike business units.
  • Research & Engineering: Define testing protocols and validate concepts using advanced knowledge of consumer, business, and performance requirements. Develop product concepts through new technologies and construction processes. Engineer prototypes and identify key materials and construction elements.
  • Project Management: Lead innovation projects from concept to reality by working with multi-disciplinary teams including product creation, manufacturing, and third-party vendors. Tackle complex challenges with imaginative, feasible solutions.
  • Communication: Draft reports and present results and market concepts at the functional department level. Clearly communicate best practices and technical knowledge to support the transition of technology into product.

  • A degree is preferred but not a hard requirement
  • 7+ years of experience in a footwear designer role preferred
  • Ability to independently manage technical, performance-driven projects
  • Strong concept-building skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Flexibility and maturity to pivot and reprioritize as needs evolve
