We are looking for a Laundry Assistant to join us in Boronia on a permanent part-time basis, with shifts on Friday's and Saturday's.

About the Role:

Laundry Assistants are responsible for providing a high standard laundry service in the residential aged care setting and work in a great broader team environment. 

About you:

You are a highly organised energetic and self-motivated individual - someone who can manage their time and be flexible with their workloads. You'll have a high level of teamwork with colleagues and empathy and compassion too.

Essential skills and competencies:

  • Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in a relevant field (highly desirable), with experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Personal Attributes: Friendly, approachable, and positive attitude
  • Passion for Aged Care: Genuine interest and enthusiasm for supporting elderly residents
  • Digital Literacy: Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
  • Health & Safety: Sound understanding of hygiene and safety standards specific to aged care

Compliance:

  • Valid National Police Check (required)
  • Evidence of working rights in Australia (e.g., visa/VEVO or passport) (required)
  • Up-to-date seasonal influenza vaccination (highly desirable)
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination (highly desirable)

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • An understanding of the Aged Care Standards, accreditation, continuous improvement requirements.
