Essential skills and competencies:

  • Teamwork with colleagues
  • Friendly and positive personality
  • Clinical care - medication rounds, wounds care etc.
  • Liaising with visiting GP's and allied health providers
  • Lead and supervise as required Carers (with some personal care duties with the team where required)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Diploma of Nursing
  • Computer and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated practice of Hygiene and Safety practices in aged care
  • Current police check - Required
  • Evidence of Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
  • Evidence of COVID vaccination

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • Work experience of 2 years in Age Care.
  • A good understanding of the Aged Care Standards, accreditation and ACFI requirements
  • An understanding of continuous improvement and OH&S
