Lycopodium is currently recruiting for an IT Support Team Lead to join our growing IT team in Mississauga, Ontario.
The IT Support Officer – Team Lead is responsible for delivering high-quality and second-level IT Support while providing leadership and mentoring to the Helpdesk Team in the America region. This role combines hands-on-technical troubleshooting with team development, ensuring all support interaction are handled professionally, efficient, and focus on customer service.
The tasks you'll perform
- Act as a primary technical contact for IT support and process across Lycopodium offices and project sites in America region delivery exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve technical issues, support onboarding and off boarding of staff, continuously improve IT service delivery.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to IT support staff, including Business Systems and CAD IT Support teams.
The expertise you'll bring
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on IT support experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead capacity
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate support teams, manage day-to-day IT operations, and oversee ticket queues
- Windows 10 / 11 troubleshooting in enterprise environments
- Active Directory & Microsoft 365 administration including escalation-level tasks
- Core networking concepts (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi), with ability to assist with escalated issues
- End-user support for executive and high-priority stakeholders, both onsite and remote
- Advanced use of ticketing systems including reporting, SLA monitoring, and triage
- IT asset lifecycle management, including procurement recommendations and asset tracking systems
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent qualifications
