Jemena is an Australian energy company who own and operate more than $11.5 Billion worth of gas and electricity transportation assets across Australia supplying millions of households and businesses with these essential services every day.  

 Our Hiring Manager has stated this is a great opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to run their own show and be seen as the SME by other areas of the Business!

 The position will report through to the National Asset Manager.

 About the role: 

 This is not your usual PM role as we specifically need skills around Property Management. The portfolio consist of circa 60 properties which are a mix of Corporate and Industrial spread over a wide geographic area.

This area of the Business is very busy and like many project areas, priorities can change swiftly.

 In addition to this unforeseen property issues can arise so resolution and critical thinking are qualities that would set you up for success.

 You will have the opportunity to consult very closely with stakeholders such as Asset Management, Health & Safety and other supporting enterprise functions, as well as a range of external parties.

  Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Project Managing the likes of multiple property fit outs, capital works upgrades, and portfolio wide property projects eg signage upgrades. 
  • Complete ownership to deliver and execute the projects ranging from $50,000 into the millions.
  • Undertaking capability uplift for your direct team and sharing your knowledge and understanding to date.
  •  You may work inside the office taking part in steering committee meetings and budget management or outside inspecting properties.
  •  Ability to adhere to various project constraints.

About you:  

It would set you up for success in this position if you have occupied a similar role or position to the this on offer.

We do not assess based on your exact position title alone and don’t mind if you arise from a Physical Asset or Facilities management role with experience gained locally or overseas.

However, it is necessary you have taken that next step in your career and offer formal PM certifications and taking part in steering committees or similar.

It would be fantastic if you had gained experience estimating at some point in your career to support the business and your role.

In short we need a committed and dependable PM who has worked specifically within Corporate Real Estate who and wants to work with a like-minded team.

Career wise you can expect to increase your experience working within an established PMO on major projects.
