Concrete Plant Manager Sunshine Coast

The role

Hy-Tec concrete currently has an opportunity for a Concrete Plant Manager to manage our Sunshine Coast concrete plants based at Maroochydore. Reporting to the Operations & Logistics Manager, this is your opportunity to become an integral team member at one of Australia’s leading construction materials producers.

With a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement, you will lead by example and foster an organisational culture of integrity and pride in strong customer service in your small, close-knit team. This role will provide you with the scope to deliver important short and long-term improvements, which are critical for our ongoing growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Schedule & allocate jobs
• Provide supervision to Concrete Agitator Drivers (company & Lorry Owner Drivers)
• Coordinate plant maintenance & perform basic maintenance
• Batch and dispatch concrete
• Manage stocks of raw materials
• Ensure safety, health, environmental and Chain of Responsibility requirements are met
• Take phone orders from customers
• Ensure a high level of customer service

What you will need to succeed

• Experience in a supervisor position in the construction materials industry
• Forklift and Front-End Loader licenses
• Be able to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies
• A strong customer service focus
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
