The IT Operations Support Specialist under strict supervision, performs configuration, installation and/or repairs of PC hardware and peripherals according to established procedures.
- Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00/hour, depending on experience.
- Assignment Length: 6-month with a high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.
Responsibilities:
- Contacts end user to define data migration requirements and perform the data migration, if required.
- Monitors for trouble tickets and coordinates with appropriate vendors for equipment repair, if needed.
- Adheres to and enforces facility security measures, company safety standards and software licensing procedures.
- Assists in setting up PC's and related peripherals for special requests.
- Lends guidance to desktop support teams on hardware related issues.
- Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.
- Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.
- Error is readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a PC related field which includes experience in hardware configuration.
- Skills are typically acquired through possession of a A+ certification or equivalent experience
- Audio Visual (A/V) experience setting up, maintaining and running large scale corporate meetings. 5 years minimum
- Expertise in Microsoft Teams
- Expertise in managing and configuring A/V equipment:
- Crestron DM, Biamp, Shure
- Installation and maintenance of televisions, projectors, PTZ cameras, etc.
- Network Connectivity
- Familiar with Microsoft’s Account Management:
- My Account
- O365 subscription process
- User Account Management
- PowerShell experience
- Structured cabling and access control expertise:
- The knowledge and skills needed to design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems, which are organized, standardized telecommunications cabling infrastructures within a building or campus. These systems facilitate communication and data transmission between various devices and networks.
- PC knowledge:
- TCP/IP
- Software Asset Management and Compliance
- ServiceNow ticketing (including workflow and SLA)
- Mobile device configuration and support
- Hardware procurement and asset management
- Additional knowledge areas needed:
- Project management experience
- CompTIA certification in desktops and network
- ITIL v4
- Server virtualization experience – VMWare/Azure/Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Professionalism: Ready to contribute immediately
