The Associate Procurement Specialist under direct supervision, issues purchase orders in response to material requirements established by manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management.

  • Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00/hr, depending on experience
  • Assignment Length: 6-month contract with the high possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: 6: 00 am – 2:30 pm | 8 hours

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Category Management strategy in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Expedite, de-expedite, and issue change orders to meet manufacturing, field plant, or project demands.
  • Analyze and resolve basic Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt (GRIR) issues, with assistance as needed.
  • Assist in creating requests for quotations (RFQ) and organize competitive bidding from various suppliers to secure the best quality, delivery, and price for goods and services.
  • Support in assessing supplier performance to ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance with contract terms.
  • Monitor inventory levels and determine optimal timing for placing new supply orders.
  • Resolve issues and discrepancies with orders and invoices efficiently.
  • Coordinate and manage the company's purchasing activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Research potential vendors and compare their products, prices, and services to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Perform job tasks that indirectly impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in a technical, business, or similar discipline is required.
  • Knowledge of SAP Purchase to Pay processes is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the procurement process.
  • Excellent communication skills (phone, email, and verbal).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
