Who are we looking for?

Are you passionate about helping people take control of their financial future?

We are looking for two Financial Counsellors who are ready to make a difference. In this role you will deliver thorough and integrated financial counselling services to individuals, families, and communities. You will collaborate with clients to offer financial education and support, helping them achieve a stable financial future. Your role will involve empowering clients with the knowledge and confidence needed to manage their finances effectively.

Additionally, AnglicareSA welcomes individuals currently studying for a Diploma in Financial Counselling to join us as a Financial Capability Worker. AnglicareSA will support your transition to a Financial Counsellor role upon completing your studies.

We currently have two vacant positions at Elizabeth, either in a full-time or part-time capacity. Both positions are on fixed-term contracts, one until September 2025 and the other until June 2026.

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Develop and apply assessments and interventions that drive high-quality outcomes, aligning with established financial counselling standards.
  • Deliver case management by gathering and distributing accurate financial materials and resources, and ensuring clients are directed to the appropriate internal and external services.
  • Engage in local forums and networks, collaborating with other service agencies to build effective working relationships.

What do you need to bring?

  • Demonstrated ability to complete accurate, comprehensive, and high-level case noting.
  • Proven ability to work with First Nations communities, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, Newly Arrived and emerging communities.

Qualifications & Special Conditions:

  •  Diploma in Financial Counselling or studying towards (essential) − Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (desirable) − Member of SAFCA or eligible to become a member (membership must be current and maintained whilst in the FC role)
  • National Police Check and Working With Children Check
