Summary

We are seeking an Associate Payroll professional with a strong background in backend payroll tax processing, specifically post-payroll activities. This role supports high-volume payroll tax operations and requires close collaboration with internal teams, state agencies, and third-party tax vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and support payroll tax filings (Federal, State, and FICA)
• Handle payroll tax notices and resolve issues with state agencies
• Work directly with tax providers, including managing: Power of Attorneys (POA) and Third-party authorizations
• Support multi-state payroll tax processing
• Participate in testing and payroll tax projects
• Communicate through internal ticketing systems and attend team meetings
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of payroll tax matters

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–3 years of payroll tax experience (backend/post-payroll focus)
• Solid foundation in: Federal, State, and FICA payroll taxes and Payroll tax filing and compliance
• Experience working with state agencies
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll taxes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Participate in testing and payroll tax projects
• HS Diploma
