The Opportunity
Grade 3 Senior Occupational Therapist
Take your career to the next level in this senior leadership role, where you’ll serve as a key member of the Occupational Therapy leadership team and lead the General Medicine, General Surgery, and Emergency & Trauma Centre stream.
In this role, you will:
Lead with Expertise
Bring advanced clinical skills to manage complex patient presentations, including dementia, delirium, vascular, and renal conditions.
Drive Clinical Excellence
Support and elevate the practice of your colleagues through mentorship, supervision, and leadership across the team.
Collaborate for Better Outcomes
Work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to deliver seamless, patient-centred care and support transitions back to home and community.
Influence and Innovate
Lead education, training, and quality improvement initiatives. Represent Allied Health on committees and help shape the future of service delivery.
Develop Future Talent
Play a key role in supervising and mentoring junior staff, Allied Health Assistants, and students.

Key Skills
- Advanced Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills in general medicine and surgical diagnostic groups, as well as, evidence-based practice in care of delirium and dementia, falls and pressure care.
- Stream leadership experience and provision of supervision to occupational therapy staff, allied health assistants and occupational therapy students.
- A strong commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Understanding of quality improvement/research frameworks and research translation skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in both clinical service provision and interactions with the team.
- The ability to work effectively as an Allied Health Professional by being able to demonstrate an ability to work within and across teams.
Qualifications Required
- B. App Sc (OT), B. Occupational Therapy, MOT prac or recognised equivalent
- Full Registration held with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Member of OT Australia (or eligibility for membership)
- Minimum seven years of clinical experience in Occupational Therapy
- Current Victorian Driver's License (unrestricted)
