The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a motivated Commercial Coordinator / Administrator to join our Sydney team and become an integral member of the Environment group.

This is a pivotal role in which you will build relationships with commercial managers, senior project leaders, Legal and Corporate Finance to deliver commercial value and improve procurement processes.

Day to day you will:

  • Monitor cost and revenue information on high risk projects, escalate material margin variances
  • Update the ERP with the most accurate and up to date financial information (e.g. pricing, cost control and fee costing templates)
  • Assist with subcontractor engagements (i.e. undertake preliminary contract reviews and handle queries with subconsultant/subcontractor WSP Terms, Confidentiality Deeds and Non-Disclosure Agreements, etc.)
  • Work with the Commercial Executive to drive financial compliance
  • Support project finance audit process and implement corrective actions
  • Interpret financial information to support commercial decisions and provide accurate inputs to Monthly Business Review report


What we'll love about you

You will also bring the following experience or skills:

  • Circa 5 years of experience in project finance or commercial management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel essential
  • Cost reporting and analysis
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Some knowledge of contracts is desirable
  • Previous experience in engineering consultancy or construction industry desirable

You have managed multiple projects of varying values at any given time and effectively handled multiple priorities and the challenges that come along with it.
