About the role
In this role, you’ll coordinate the day-to-day performance of the Metro Field Support team and assist the Supervisor in fostering a constructive team culture focused on safety and continuous improvement.
Supported by a strong team, you will be responsible for the analysis of operational performance and development of strategies and programs for staff engaged in meter reading activities to meet reading program targets and requirements.
You’ll manage resource planning and scheduling while supporting workforce development and performance management.

What the role will involve
- Participate as an active member of the MRM Lead Team, working and aligned to the Metering Services Team Charter
- Coordinate the Meter Reading Management OHS Operating Model and associated processes and practices to secure the health, safety, and welfare of our people.
- Assist the Supervisor to coordinate the development of a supportive workplace by facilitating collaboration, accountability and constructive feedback that delivers our business outcomes
- Coordinate the development of processes, systems and workforce culture that provides a strong focus on customer service.
- Extensive engagement with key stakeholders
- Coordinate Internal workforce to ensure its efficient operation, developing strategies to facilitate core business functions to achieve team targets and KPIs.
Your skills and experience
You’re a strong communicator who enjoys variety in your work and takes pride in supporting your team and customers. You go the extra mile to get things done and bring a practical, solutions-focused approach to your day-to-day responsibilities.
You’re confident managing day-to-day queries from field staff and have experience handling administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency. You understand the importance of effective scheduling and resource planning, and you’ve had exposure to managing people and navigating people-related matters.
You’ll also bring:
- Substantial experience in a large, commercially focused, state-wide organisation coordinating customer-related services
- Scheduling and resource management experience, ideally in an operational environment
- Experience in needs analysis, training delivery, and implementing customer-focused policies and process improvements
- Knowledge of meter reading systems and related corporate applications (desirable)
- A strong personal commitment to safety and wellbeing, with practical experience applying workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- A valid driver licence (essential for this role)
