About the role:
We have a permanent opportunity for an Occupational Health & Safety Advisor to join our close-knit team based in Leederville. You will be responsible for continually improve occupational health and safety culture and outcomes, compliance with the HSEAA Management System and ensure legislative and corporate requirements.
What the role will involve:
- Assist the safety team in providing key administrative support with key functions such as Health Surveillance Programs and OSH Rep duties.
- Support, guide and advise the Team Leaders and other relevant employees to ensure they have the knowledge that meets agreed safety objectives, and which delivers best practice results.
- Provide OSH awareness and direction, to support internal and external stakeholders in relation to safety policies, procedures, and practices.
- Support stakeholders to ensure employees and contractors identify, prioritise, and build the behaviours and processes critical to safety best practice.
- Advise and educate all relevant stakeholders in appropriate hazard identification and risk management and control process.
- Coordinate managing hazards and incidents in the OSH data base and prepare reports to ensure compliance with business, stakeholder and legislative requirements.
About you:
Ideally you will have a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or experience within the industry is highly desirable. You will have advanced knowledge of OSH principles and practices and able to operate Microsoft office suite of products.
We are looking for someone with high levels of personal responsibility and accountability with a strong focus on results. You will have excellent personal and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to understand customer needs and requirements.
